Mild Hypothermia Therapeutic Device
A mild hypothermia therapeutic device is a treatment equipment that utilizes blankets with circulating water to exchange heat, controlling the patient’s body temperature to 32–34°C for neuroprotection.
Studies have shown that mild hypothermia (32–34°C) significantly reduces cerebral metabolic rate (approximately 6–10% per °C), delays and minimizes neuronal death. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory effects, mitigates secondary injuries, lowers intracranial pressure, and protects the blood-brain barrier.
